(My practice is CLOSED to NEW Medicare patients because I have yet to get paid the majority of my claims. I have a small practice and Medicare has not helped me with filing details. They have made it incredibly hard for a small practitice to make a living! In addition, the reimbursement rate for Medicare does NOT favor the primary care provider. (See my blog) The rates are so low that they do not encourage preventive care, personal relationships or first rate chronic care management- all of which require time. This is a pity! I still see Medicare patients for non covered services like, acupuncture, etc.)
